It’s also true that folks who struggle with chronic pain are being left to suffer or turn to street drugs because of this radical war on drugs crap. The doctors are so scared of losing their license that they are now refusing pain meds to amputees, cancer patients, joint replacement patients, etc. etc. There’s no help for long, painful recoveries or lifelong chronic pain beyond a week’s worth of pills before being told to take Tylenol. It’s a scandal that no one is holding our government responsible for - causing such unnecessary suffering and leaving people with no choice but to find relief in street drugs.
I don’t know what the full story with Tiger is, but I surmise that it would relate back to chronic pain issues. How many back surgeries has he had? I think the number I read was seven. Unless one has that pain or lives with someone who does, it’s really impossible to grasp how insidious it is.
