The US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida under Bush, Acosta, said that he was told Epstein, “was protected.” The US Attorney’s office grabbed the case from the Palm Beach County’s prosecuting office then fully negotiated the deal with half a dozen + very high priced “national” lawyers very well versed in Federal Law, i.e., Dershowitz, Starr and others, and they also involved very good local lawyers. This is were Maxwell gets her claim of immunity - through the Feds and Dersh, et al. and the fed plea agreement.

The Feds were very complicit in giving Epstein and attys every possible benefit even having to renegotiate the deal as the original had some obscure defects that no one ever would have noticed as no one would have reviewed the case.

After a Fed deal was reached, the feds handed the case back to the local prosecutor and judge so that procedurally Epstein could get work release and other benefits of being locally prosecuted and avoid some Federal problems. The girls were totally omitted from the process (ever hear of victim rights?) to such an extent that they originally sued to get the plea overturned - not for money. Those are the facts. Money didn’t get involved until almost 10 years after the plea and after the dismissal of the Fed case regarding overturning the plea and stonewalling by Epstein and pals. Again, those are the facts. And yes, Epstein and lawyers were ready to annihilate the girls once money came into the picture. Before that, the girls were mostly ignored - hence the lawsuit to overturn the plea.

This case was NEVER going to have a trial but if in some alien world it did, the girls would have been set up for slaughter. Some of the Epstein lawyers, fed and local, were involved in the William Kennedy Smith case and knew all the tricks.

Acosta later said he doesn’t recall who, what, where he was told that Epstein was “special.” Again, these are the facts.

I disagree.

Only a few of them sued to over turn the federal Agreement, and only after their lawyers realized that Epstein was worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

5-10 new females were ultimately added to the Cash Compensation settlement.

A public trial would mean that each young woman would have to admit there was no coercion, that they lied about their age, and that they willingly accepted market rate payment for sex.

Ultimately, Epstein pleaded guilty to exactly the crime he committed...

Soliciting under age females for prostitution.

In closing...

I have no idea how any federal judge could allow Ghislaine Maxwell and Epstein to be indicted for Trafficking when there is ZERO evidence of coercion.
