The Idaho Senate on Friday afternoon passed a GOP-backed bill that would criminalize transgender people for using bathrooms aligned with their gender identity, sending the measure to Gov. Brad Little for his signature. It is one of the harshest anti-trans measures in the U.S.

Yes, harsh. But we’ve been tiptoeing around criminal behavior far too long.
In Texas, there is an enhancement clause to our criminal code making repeated theft convictions a felony, even if it’s just for a pack of shoplifted gum. That’s appropriate to deter repeat offenders.
I haven’t read article yet, but does bill specify that young boys can go in women’s restroom with their mom’s, like kids under 5?
I don’t know, but I’m sure it includes exceptions for young children with their parents, janitors, and honest mistakes.
