“If you don’t like fossil fuels — and who does?” I do. For many reasons. But Solar and Wind would work if you had cheap batteries that could store electricity for longer than a few hours and maintain their charge. The problem is not electricity generation, it is in efficient storage. I can generate electricity by attaching a good generator and converter, and with a voltage regulator, I could charge a battery. If the battery were good enough, you could store as much electricity as your body would allow you to generate. Unfortunately, there is no good small, affordable, transportable batteries. That is one of the manyy limitations...

The battery in your phone can keep a charge for months.
