One often hears Democrat politicians decrying the lack of common civility abroad in the land these days. In so doing, they generally blame Normal Americans—largely but not exclusively Republicans—for that failing. But how often do we see the Normal American owners or managers of restaurants or other public accommodations, kick Democrat politicians or functionaries out of their establishments because their presence “makes them feel unsafe” or might be “perceived as a lack of support for the community that makes up the majority of our team.”
I can’t recall any instance of that happening, ever. That’s not surprising. Normal Americans aren’t frightened by the political views and goals of others, nor do they much worry about what others think of them. They tend to be live and let live types who have lives to live, bills to pay and families to support. They understand the circumstances that might constitute being “unsafe,” and they don’t include people with differing political views, real or imagined, sharing a restaurant with them.
Normal Americans obviously don’t share the views of The Croissanterie restaurant in Little Rock, Arkansas:

Why don’t republicans do that stuff? Because we have jobs and when we go out to eat, we want to eat…not be “offended.”
if you pretend to be a victim
you can get what you want
collectivists are very good at this
there is a lot of power in that faux victimhood
i hope the normies punish this restaurant
the little red hen went out of business
Ahem. Why don’t Christian parents help expel invaders from their services, services which include their terrified children?
It ain’t civility.
It is cowardice.
This is a Leftist construct. Communist, actually. They want to control every facet of people's lives.
It is why they are against Religion: it is a distraction from the party.
It is why they are against Family: it is a distraction from the party.
And that, in a nutshell, is the Left.
I figured a gay angle to eat somewhere
My cousin lives in west Little Rock
The town has black issues but not like Jackson miss my hometown
The worst city proper in the USA I think
What do you hear about whether there’s been a drop off in business since the incident?
Then you’ll be bullied forever.
Don’t know for sure but don’t know any repubs that worry about “safe spaces.”
Why stoop to their level?

"ROAD HOUSE!"
Your comment makes no sense.
Why would I get bullied if I don’t bully them?
You sound like one of those people who turns every social interaction into a political drama fest.
As a pubbie that used to own restaurants, I couldn't care less about my customer's politics, only their ability to pay.
Pubbies are business people, you pay, don't cause trouble, you are welcome...don't pay, we gotta big problem, and don't tell me you love Trump and deserve a free meal.
NFW!!!
You’re dealing with lunatic leftists. They’ll harass you forever unless you do something about it. Or one can go ahead and be like Senator Coleman (R-MN) and just meekly comply with them. Maybe, just maybe they’ll leave you be.
No one has tried to bully me in person since I was 12. Pretty sure I could handle myself against lunatics.
On FR? I run into more zealots here than in real life.
Dems are just better at it with experience using “no coloreds allowed” and “no rish need apply”
I’m thinking more along the lines of the FBI during Potato’s administration. The pro-life supporter in Pennsylvania who had the FBI storm into his house waving guns in front of his children. Joe Navarro being clamped in leg irons. Bullying isn’t just some drug addicted TDS person screaming at you. If you don’t think the Rats will resume this if they take power, you haven’t been paying attention. Governor Fat Bastard of Illinois is already threatening this. Also, don’t forget the Mar-a Lago raid, or the Trump guy being arrested in front of the CNN crew who “just happened” to be on the scene. Tina Peters, also. The list goes on.
