I see no reason to shame and antagonize them.
The Europeans deserve this treatment. Not the Japanese.
It was a snarky, terrible question from a reporter for Japan...and what Trump said was what most folks were thinking. Just remember how the press treats him....they deserve no special disposition, and what’s Japan going to do with China right next door?
Trump is American to the core, and, like the rest of the world, the Japanese have been dealing with the directness of American humor and manners long enough to be neither shamed nor antagonized.
