Author Brian Doherty has been found dead in a Bay Area park after a presumed fall.
The 57-year-old was found at Battery Yates, a historic landmark in Marin County’s Sausalito, last week, according to Reason Magazine, where he worked as a senior editor.
Doherty is believed to have fallen last Thursday night after attending an art gathering held atop the park’s historic concrete military defense structures, SFGATE reported.

The author was restricted in his movement and needed a cane to walk, which may have contributed to his fall, according to Reason.
He wrote articles published in dozens of newspapers and magazines, including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Mother Jones, Spin, National Review, The Weekly Standard and The San Francisco Chronicle, as well as The New York Post.

Nobody at the party noticed him missing, apparently.
What did he know, who benefits from him being dead??? 57 and a cane? Maybe just another COVID shot death. Unless he was about to expose the Clinton, Epstein pedophiles... it what probably the death jab.
“Doherty said that he was a “principled nonvoter” who has “been saved the embarrassment of ever having to feel any sense of responsibility, of even the smallest size, for the actions of any politician.”
He was probably drunk.
I’ll say this there probably aren’t too many writers that have been published in Mother Jones and The National Revue. Yeah Yeah I know National Revue isn’t what it used to be.
“He was probably drunk.”
Yes...Occam’s Razor (vs. the half-dozen conspiracy theories).
That’s sad. To die dehydrated behind some concrete sculpture.
He was a good actor.
Played laser tag in the gun turrets just the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge in the 80’s. I fell backwards, fell about four feet but opened up a squirting bloody mess. You can definitely get hurt or worse there. Not sure if that was Sausalito or not, it’s been a long time.
Could be... but if he was double vaxxed and boosted... it was the vax.
I remember walking there.
You are correct....a simple fall could easily be a bad one.
I moved to SF in summer of ‘73. At the time, the Marin Headlands were still an active military installation; it hadn’t yet become part of the future “Golden GateNational Recreation Area.” There were no guards, so you could drive through the headlands. The vast network of tunnels used for storing artillery shells and ammo 30 years before we’re all still open (all blocked off and secured today).
I drove my Honda 350 motorcycle into one long tunnel and turned off my engine and light. There was chanting that sounded like an occult witches coven coming from even deeper in the tunnel. I fired up my engine and raced out of there as fast as I could. Never went back into any of those myriad tunnels again. Strangest thing ever!
You’re thinking of Brian Dennehy. He’s been dead for some time.
