“Chitwood said all of the spring breakers taken into custody in the wake of the weekend rush were “absolutely polite and understood why they were being arrested.”

If that’s the case, then why did the idiots of rich parents attending expensive education facilities understand they shouldn’t do what they did? Or is that too much to ask for them to be humane and thoughtful? They ought to make mummsy and Da to pay a stiff price and let them figure out how to get it back from their spoiled stupid kids.

This is one of those times that since some were arrested and under 18, their record will be purged when they become legal adults. They made a choice, it was illegal, and they knew it at the time. And they wee free to not do it and if they could they shouldn’t be allowed to go there. Record should stay in tact.

Living 80 miles from Daytona I’ve spent some time there usually for NASCAR races or bike week.

Over the years I’ve had a few encounters with Daytona law enforcement and I can assure they are not to be trifled with.

Think about it, spring break drunks, bikers, nascar rednecks and run of the mill tourists.

So there’s always some large contingency down there pretty much year round.

IOW, they don’t take sht.
