I would expect law school graduates to be hardest hit. They are basically hired to do the grunt work that AI now can do.

Believe me, AI CANNOT do an attorney job. I just had a client send me a motion he wanted me to file that he drafted with the help of AI. It was total garbage and the judge would have thought I had lost my mind if I filed it. My client of course, thought it was genius.

In case y’all have not figure it out, AI is only as good as the person behind it.

About 15 years ago, I went to a CLE and one of the classes was about shipping your legal research out to India. Hah! What utter caca. No one I know does this, and if you file some crap in front of a judge you will lose all your crediblity.

So, no, AI is not going to replace lawyers anytime soon. That said, there are lots of lawyers, so if you need one, interview enough until you find one you trust who will call you back or email you back in 24 hours. There is NO EXCUSE for an attorney not being able to get back to you in 24 hours.
