Four military drones were stolen from Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
In a post on the U.S. Army Fort Campbell Facebook Page, a spokesperson wrote that four Skydio X10D Drone Systems were stolen from the 326th Division Engineer Battalion building.
The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division is offering a reward for information that leads to the conviction of those behind the theft.
The drones were originally stolen in November of last year, but Fort Campbell released information and surveillance photos to the public on March 11.
The Skydio X10D is an unmanned aerial drone designed with a modular payload capability.
The U.S. Army 7th Army Training Command, last July, used the Skydio X10D to drop a live M67 grenade for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany.

The failure of the military to do it’s job. The reward is having a job, being fed, and paid on a regular basis.
“Do you think the reward is for the law enforcement investigators?”
If they are the military, that’s who it’s aimed at. The military already committed to the protection and retrieval process and should not be rewarded. Those that let them disappear by not doing their job and those that stole them should be punished under a few articles in the UCMJ. And there is a strong possibility that someone knows what happened since it happened six months ago and are again not doing their job by assisting in the retrieval but are wishing to be rewarded for their failures.

Nutty rants, this is a normal reward offer for information to the general public, not a payoff directed at the military law enforcement to get them to show up and investigate.

The US Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stealing four Skydio X10D drones from Fort Campbell. While the reward was widely publicized for public tips, it was not restricted from being claimed by active-duty military personnel.
They should have not allowed the active military to receive a reward for not doing their job.

Of course they should, someone in the military may know who these guys are, or might learn who they are through mutual friends or might have suspicions about someone they know or serve with.
