Wonder what zombies represent in our collective subconscious.

Pretty sure it’s democrats. Stupid, shuffling, but violent and seemingly insatiable, endless hordes who want to eat the productive.

Also dead, but somehow vote.

“”””””Wonder what zombies represent in our collective subconscious.”””””

I think the first zombie movies of the 1930s capitalized on the mysteries of the black culture of mysticisms and potions and voodoo that a few old Southern FR members may remember from the far distant past (little known or mentioned in post 60s America, if at all) and the tie ins of Haiti and more blackness and voodoo.

I think modern zombies are touching a little on immigration and the introduction into American society of the exotic and dangerous peoples of the dark corners of the world to living among us and taking over our cities and culture, americans becoming the ‘other’, the outsiders in our own nation, surrounded by dangerous and mysterious intruders who increasingly threaten us and are dragging us back to a more primitive regressive state.
