Letting Iran go on and on with their Supreme Leaders and Mullah’s aggressions and hatred for the U.S. aka ‘The Great Satan’ as they were before Trump destroyed their missile bases is tantamount to the appeasement of Hitler and the diplomatic strategy used by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and others in the 1930s, which involved making concessions to Nazi Germany in hopes of avoiding war. That policy is often criticized for failing to prevent World War II because Hitler continued aggressive expansion despite concessions.
