The article state that the woman changed her mind and was sent home for hospice care. Her husband had “care-giver burnout”, but they were denied help from the the government. Her husband found another doctor to reinstate the murder.

Seems to me that perhaps the husband should have done the assisted suicide to put himself out of the misery of taking care of his wife.
