I get the sentiment, but if it means getting SAVE done in time for 2026, or even 2028, it's worth it, IMHO.

If we get SAVE done, it's game over for the Democrats. So having Cornyn instead of Paxton, I'll take that deal. Damn good deal!

It's my understanding that Paxton ain't all that, neither.

It will be Cornyn. Otherwise, there is no reason to wait.

In other words, the price of an endorsement is the SAVE Act. So Thune and Cornyn will get it done. And we get Cornyn for 6 more years.
