I do. They wouldn’t waste their time on FR. It’s just a bunch of shortish comments with no well written concepts. That is not a criticism of FR, that is just how every run of the mill comment section works.

They read actual well thought out and written articles by people they follow. And they would not read the comments. The White House is constantly polling many issues and phrases, etc.

In a meeting, where the latest article from Foreign Policy magazine is discussed, I highly doubt a low level aide would chime in and say, I saw this comment from xyz on FR. It would not fit. I’m sure they would listen, pause and then continue the meeting.

And, of course, they talk directly with many people. There are plenty of people that get calls and invites to the WH to discuss some issue. Trump calls all over the place for people’s thoughts about various issues.

They talk with people who have spent their whole lives studying specific issues. No offense to anyone, but reading comments is not very much bang for the buck.

The Motor Voter Law passed Congress and the SC said that was just fine.

Why is showing your birth certificate to register to vote any different?

Thune and Cornyn are both do-nothing cowards who need to do the right thing for a change or get the heck out of the Senate.

I agree with you. The SAVE Act is so monumentally important that it is worth the price of one seat in Congress. And, by the way, it’s not like Talarico is going to be Cornholio, either - and since he at least voted the correct way sometimes, it’s not like conservatives would actually lose the seat. Just so long as he doesn’t touch any gun issues….

That would be great, but the likelihood Schumer would permit a vote is close to zero. But it’s worth shot before December in case the R majority is slimmed or even lost.

It was completely unanimous in favor of endorsing Paxton and dumping Cornyn. I’ve never seen any thread that large that was completely one sided before. No one but the Senate Rinos want Cornyn in the Senate anymore.

That said, “it is a big club, and we ain’t in it”.

“If you think Congress can make rules for THAT, please cite where in teh
Constitution you find such authority granted - because it’s not there.”

Pass the Bill then test it in Court.
The Supreme Court Specifically.

Someone help me understand. If it is a given that you are a total RINO and swamp creature, as is Cornyn, explain to me how sitting on and not passing the SAVE Act benefits you. If the SAVE Act prevents illegal aliens from voting, isn’t that a 90% benefit for Cornyn and other RINOS?

I’ll bet he’s thinking the SAVE act is more important than a seat from Texas.
I agree…..So whatever it takes.

“All the more reason for Thune to start doing the job he was appointed to instead of the one the Chao family is paying him for.”

Thanks for pointing that out. More accurately, it’s the McConnell-Chao-CCP family / cabal running the Thune Show.
