Republicans would have rather faced her in the general election than her opponent.
Her opponent, Talarico, is more dangerous because he poses as a “moderate” while holding just as insane ideologies as the Party in general. He tries to come across as a “compassionate, Christian moderate” which will fool some churchy older white Texans. Crockett, on the other hand, is an immediate turn-off to any sane person.

And the real problem is that this article based on last night’s ranting is already out-of-date.
I was dearly hoping that she would drag out the fight on the rat side, but she called Talerico, conceded, and issued a statement claiming she’ll support him in the GE. I hope it’s just empty words.
The worst part is that the single biggest spender FOR Crockett? Greg Abbott’s PAC. By far. It was an attempt to get the easiest rat to beat in the GE, regardless of what comes from the GOP primary... but it didn’t work. Nearly 3.5 million down the drain.
Like any sane person, I’m taking a moment to enjoy her end... but like too much bad bourbon, the hangover is dawning.
