Thank you very much and God bless you,

The historical “rhyming” of the story of Esther and Mordecai alongside current events is really beyond spooky!
Not spooky.
God’s providential hand.
Am Israel Chai!!!
Happy Purim to you as well. God is faithful, and there is much to be thankful for.
Lamentations 3
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh him.
Happiest Purim I can remember, and I’ve seen 65 of them. Maybe the happiest since Stalin died just before slaughtering another round of Jews in Moscow.
“Hang ‘em again, just to be sure.” ~ Queen Esther 🥳
The Book of Esther is the only book that
Doesn’t mention GOD !
Yet His sovereignty is Present throughout.
.
IIRC
Perhaps we were born for a time such as this.
G-d has great timing.
Within one year from now, Persian and Israeli leaders will meet in friendship. Trump is not going to let the mullahs up off the mat.
When the bombing is finished, the people will rise up. But they will have air support.
HISS like totally.
The Mordecai MOABs destroyed Persia again.
The Orthodox version (Septuagint) does mention God!
Happy Purim, EinNYC.
Enjoy the hamantaschen.
For those who don’t know, they are pastries to commemmorate the victory over the leader who vowed to exterminate the Jews but was himself killed. Wore a three cornered hat like the pastry, but actual origin was his ears, as enemies’ ears were cut off after they were killed as a sign of triumph.
Thank you!!!
Happy Purim!
Not really spooky at all, if you are aware of the unrolling of history according to the Word of God and its progressive revelation, completed about 100 A.D. when Beloved John put down his pen and closed the book to any further entries.
I've had no trouble with linking "Hamas" with "Haman", where Agag and Amalek are the forerunners that Saul of Kish failed to completely eradicate in disobedience to Jehovah's plain-literal command to him.
But starting from the beginning of the Jewish race beginning with Jacob and Esau:
Genesis 36:12 (AV)It was Esau's son that took up his father's bitterness at 'losing' (actually willingly selling) his presumed birthright to his fraternal twin Jacob (Later titled 'Israel' = 'he will rule as God by God's messenger), which he escalated as a great indignity and deception, then passed that on to his son Amalek; who then made it a cornerstone of hate for his descendants, the Amalekites, to condemn and destroy all of their cousins, Jacob's descendants, the Israelites, to a man, that this 'birthright' would then legally and regally slip back to them. This strong intent to commit genocide showed up at Rephidim in the Exodus from Egypt to Canaan:And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
Exodus 17:8,13-16 (AV)And so it has been, Esau (and all his allies, Arabs and Jordanians) ever since. Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi(Jehovah is my banner):
For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.Deuteronomy 25:19 (AV)
Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
So, give another half a century, and it all crops up once more with Saul, son of Kish, who stood a bottle of shampoo above his fellow Israelites, but not before God, Who chose him to be the first King of Israel:
1 Samuel 15:2-4,8-9 (AV)Saul thus by oppositional defiance disobeyed his advisor Samuel, and therefore the Jehovah that Samuel represented. He also wound up losing his royalty, his life, and his son's life, in rebellion against the LORD and David who had been ordained to supplant him. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah. And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
Moving ahead to yet another half a century, something very unusual and miraculous happened, bringing the Persian emperor and his counselor Haman into the narrative.
As a presaging of what was about to come, the psalmist Asaph prophesied of that confederation of Jehovah-haters which included Amalekites, still present and politically of account. In his recognition of the God to Whom he was speaking:
Psalm 83:4-8 (AV):Now, unless I am mistaken, all these ethnics are all now, today, exist and are committed to the Moon God Allah (who has no God-Begotten-in-the-flesh Son). For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
But stepping a few years forward from Asaph, we find the still rancorous Jew-hater Haman (a progenitor of the Hamas cultic ethnicity?) whose nefarious plans were exposed to her Persian king Ahasuerus (probably Xerxes Anglicized) by the beautiful Jewish queen Esther. What about Haman?
Esther 3:1 (AV)So Haman was not merely an Amalekite, but a descendant of the king Agag and his family which Israel's King Saul failed to exterminate, someone who escaped the priest Samuel's sword. Haman was judged and was hung, with the genocide of all Israelites was still legal, but now blocked by the revelation of the truth behind Haman's motives and manipulations. After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
And that is the story of how the saving of Jewish lives by Esther being Providentially in the right place at the right time with the right influence is remembered in Purim gatherings.
========
However, you should realized that all the confederates of Esau's line, and that of Lot's line, and of Ishmael's line, and their affiliates now make up the generation of Muslims that are still infused with the principle of eradicating Jacob's descendants according to Satan's culminating desire to make Jehovah Elohim, the LORD God an unrighteous liar by not fulfilling the promise made to Abraham as an Eternal Covenant, made 4,000 years ago:
Gen 15:17-21 (AV)The Edomites, Ammonites, Syrians, and Amalekites are still alive and still very dangerous, with their tool of Islam at hand. And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
