“We saw the total solar eclipse in April, 2024 from our driveway.”

Same here. All I had to do was walk (carefully) out into the pasture.

It was such a cool event. I hope I never forget it. All the animals and birds got very quiet as it started getting darker. In our neighborhood there are streetlights that come on automatically when it gets dark. Those lights came on, and were the only lights around. It was like everyone was going to bed in the middle of the day. Then, just as quickly as it got dark, it started brightening up, and the birds & small animals all came back out to play. (We have lots of squirrels, chipmunks, and bunnies around here, as well as deer, fox, raccoons, skunks, possums, etc.)

We had a lot of fun with our neighbors that day. Very memorable event.
