Nothing wrong with a half pound burger. But I prefer one made at home, without the extra craps MacDonald put in theirs. So mine is grass fed/ Aldi organic ketchup/ decent bread/ zero mayo or “special sauce”/ usually cheese/ ......... the variable maybes are onion pickle hot sauce lettuce tomato A1 steak sauce relish mustard

I normally eat 2 burgers, 1/3 pound each. Sometimes with buns. About 800 calories for the meat. About 300 more in 2 buns. My other meal for the day will probably be an omelet.

If one doesn’t cover things in high calorie, sugary sauces, add in fries and a 32 ounce Coke, big hamburgers are healthy. I’m 5’8” guy, 150 pounds, Medicare age.

1100 calories for a meal would be fine if one doesn’t eat 3-4 times a day or add in another 1000 calories in sugar and fries. But most Americans add the extra calories and eat far too often!
