This could be termed a bit misleading. "The same ground" if we consider the whole surface of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. However, the "two Holy Temples" (Solomon's and Herod the Great's) were believed to have been located over the "Rock" where Abraham undertook to sacrifice Isaac, which is now the location of the Islamic 'Dome of the Rock', the larger structure in the center of the picture of the Temple Mount below. So both mosques are on the Temple Mount, but the Dome of the Rock is technically situated where 'the first two Holy Temples were located'.
The Temple Mount is now wholly claimed by Islam; only the 'Western Wall' is accessible by Jews for prayer. Interestingly, the two mosques atop the Temple Mount had fallen into serious disrepair during the reign of the Ottoman Empire. Early in the 20th century, following the Balfour Declaration and the rise of Germany's Third Reich, did these two Islamic Mosques suddenly become important to the world's Muslims.
The 'Al-Aqsa' ('el Aksa' in the picture) is the smaller structure at the bottom of the frame.
