I once wrote to Rush to tell him to have a good steak. It was when he went Vegan for awhile trying to lose some weight and he started having hearing problems. I obviously didn’t know the whole health issue story but, to me anyway, the two go together. By the time he quit the vegan thing the damage was done.
Yeah those were sad days for Rush. He finally beat the pills but the damage was done.
I'll never forget him doing several shows without being able to hear! Having done 20 years of radio I know how hard it is to do when you do hear! Not being able to hear is the impossible dream.
However, there was only one Rush and he was up to the task. Still don't know how he did it. Snerdly was good but not that good!
