In hindsight, I’d say that Carter was a deep state puppet, not much better than Johnson.

He did nothing to help America. We had gas shortages under his reign. We had him telling us to turn down the heat and wear a sweater. We had the idiotic 55 mph speed limit. He all but destroyed the nuclear power industry with his overreaction to Three Mile Island.

But he didn't get an envelope at Bush's funeral. He saw others getting an envelope, then started looking through his and Rosalynn's funeral programs and around trying to find his.
