Former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the House Oversight Committee on Thursday that she had no idea about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
In her opening statement, which she later posted on X, Clinton said she had no idea of Epstein’s criminal activities.
“I had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island home or offices,” she said.
Speaking with reporters afterward, Clinton said she “answered every one of their questions as fully as I could,” adding that “I never met Jeffrey Epstein” and “I knew Ghislaine Maxwell casually, as an acquaintance.”
“I don’t know how many times I had to say I didn’t know Jeffrey Epstein,” she said.

She didn’t know her philandering husband was hanging out with a convicted sex offender and we trusted her with negotiating treaties with countries who use such information to blackmail our officials?????

If I were questioning, I would have started with how it felt to be reviled by Jerry Zeifman because of her unethical conduct during the Watergate inquiry. If she made any cotrections, when asked about Epstein, the second she said “I don’t recall”, my response: how is it you clearly remember events of 50 years ago, but can’t remember more recent events?
I’m starting to understand why Bill felt so comfortable cheating on her. She must be the blindest non-blind person on earth.

Hillary came outside the courthouse in Chappaqua yesterday when her deposition was over and took questions. I saw the press briefing Comer gave today after Clinton’s deposition and I thought maybe he would appear after that just like Hillary did but he went out the back door, I guess. That would have been fun to watch!

You always have to very, very carefully parse anything and everything Clintons say.
In this case Hillary may not have had any “idea” of Epstein’s crimes.
But she did have factual knowledge of his crimes based on her first hand experience and involvement.
Hillary Diane Rodham never had much of a clue about what other people were doing, even as a young girl. And as she grew up, she lived in an echo chamber largely of her own construction, with one cardinal rule - make an impression so great she had to be coronated as Queen of All, the position much more important than any actual power that may be attached to the office. Of course, if any real power came along with it, that was a bonus, and she would certainly use it to reinforce her self-image as the imperious ruling matriarch. With an ego that large, Billy Jeff was relegated to a dusty corner of her realm.
