With Chelsea Clinton’s prominence in the American zeitgeist and Marc Mezvinsky being the son of two former congresspeople, it’s no surprise that their 2010 wedding was one for the books. The nuptials, held at the Astor Courts estate in Rhinebeck, New York, cost upwards of $3 million.

While the $11,000 vegan cake from La Tulipe Desserts and the $35,000 Jewish chuppah adorned with hydrangeas and roses that the couple wed under contributed to the cost, it was Clinton’s Vera Wang gown that had a deceptively hefty price tag.

The custom-made dress, strapless with a skirt of layered organza, was flattering to Clinton’s frame, but a crystal-encrusted belt that cinched her at the waist is what stole the show. The delicate yet prominent accessory that completed the look was said to cost $25,000 alone.

(Chelsea apparently had two pricey wedding gowns..... reported elsewhere)

RE: (photo of wedding)
The wedding occurred in 2010, two years after Jeffrey Epstein’s 2008 conviction for sex crimes in Florida.

So that total BS about not knowing Maxwell was involved in anything shady is a story leaking like a surplus WWII amphib.

Chelsea Clinton’s two Vera Wang wedding gowns

NEW YORK (AP) - The more formal dress worn by Clinton on Saturday at an exclusive estate in Rhinebeck, N.Y., had a strapless bodice, laser-cut organza ball skirt and a glittery embellished belt. For the reception, she changed into a Grecian-style gown with a narrow, black grosgrain belt.

Wang also dressed the bridesmaids. They wore strapless bias-cut gowns made of lavender chiffon with plum-colored bows.

The designer was a guest at the event and said it was a “privilege” to dress Clinton. She said the bride “radiated joy, youth and happiness.”

As mother of the bride, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton tapped Oscar de la Renta - designer of one of her inaugural gowns when her husband was president - to make her raspberry-colored embroidered gown.

The groom wore a custom wool-mohair mix tuxedo by Burberry.
