The dumb Avatar movies have a global warming angle and made zillions of dollars. People just wanna believe!!! Believe a narrative where they are the good guys. In the past it was religious narratives that dominated in The West. That gave people their meaning and place in the universe, which women need to produce more babies.
I was excited to watch Avatar when it came out - I was willing to try ignoring the climate change agenda, the white people are bad agenda and all the other agendas - and just enjoy it as a story.
But it’s like eating a meatless burger - t might fool you while you’re eating it but it doesn’t satisfy.
Every time I watch a Hollywood production i deepen my resolve never to watch another one.. I wonder how many people are like me a at least on a subconscious level - slowly getting turned off.
They may still be making millions on some of these movies, but the industry is dying.
