All those watching, on a live non partisan feed, got to see the immature antics of the Democrats in full display.
And they also got to see the contrast with the Republicans who were spirited in a normal SOTU sense but mannerly.

I watched the whole speech and was thoroughly proud of everything but the left side of the house sitting on their hands, disgraceful.
The few times they stood and applauded was whem President Trump said”eliminate political violence”. The goose and the gander analogy comes to mind

It’s that the financial bludgeon they batter the American middle class with, the income tax, could be repealed and replaced with tariff revenue.
Watching him needle the Dems was just too much. Loved it!
It was a great speech. I was tired and had decided not to watch it, but then thought I would catch at least a few minutes of it before bedtime. Trump was masterful. I’m glad I saw most of it.

This time, they refused to stand for the statement "Stand up if you believe that the duty of the American government is to protect Americans first, not illegal immigrants".
Their only possible response if (WHEN!!!) this clip is used in every GOP midterm political ad, is "we believe that our duty is to protect EVERYONE within our borders!!"... but I don't think that will gain them any traction.
And personally, I think the President should have followed that moment up with 3 more questions:
Okay, stand up if you believe that America is a great country... (they'll all stay seated)
Okay, stand up if you believe that American laws should treat all Americans the same, regardless of race, creed, religion, or gender... (they'll all stay seated)
Okay, now stand up if you want me to resign from the Presidency following this speech.
The Right half of Congress immediately sits, and the Libs will all wake up and they all will quickly stand for that last one... then the world will know that they openly refused to stand for the first 3. Zero excuses. All they care about is Hating him, and Hating America.
How totally disrespectful can the democrat “politicians” get to NOT stand for the mother of the young girl that murdered????
