Ha ha! I remember Pat Hingle. He was a character actor, usually played a tough guy. I thought he might have been the father of their sometime secretary/receptionist, but that was Eddie Barth, another often-seen character actor.
Pat Hingle played a judge in Hang Em High and a detective in the Gauntlet, both starring Clint Eastwood. Both excellent movies. He also voiced the character Rooter in the first Land before Time series.
