By increasing the cost of subsidized foreign imports, you level the playing field for US producers. The press is focused on the $s brought in and th recent court case, and willfully ignores the fact the tariffs have cut the trade deficit in HALF. Imports are slowing and exports are gaining and 2026 will see way more of this.
