[Organic Panic]

It is a shame. California is such a beautiful state run by insane lunatics. I was a fire engineer for CDF back in the day. Forests burn and recover. The redwoods will be fine. Their bark is a foot thick and have survived a thousand years of fires and their cones need fire to release the seeds. I remember when Yosemite went up about 35 years ago. You can’t even tell it happened now.

During the summer of 74, I was a CDF firefighter at Big Basin. Lots of great memories. Year before that I was at the CDF Saratoga Summit station. Looking back, it’s possible I would have made a career of it, had I not had an ROTC scholarship.

It afforded me the opportunity to attend a private college that my parents never could afford.
