Nick has many sources in British intelligence (and formerly worked for them) so some folks have hinted he still is spreading disinformation for them.

He is a smart guy—so his stuff is difficult to debunk—but I have never found him that convincing.

In the British Ministry of defense, Pope was given the assignment of investigating UFOs as a way to placate the public and inquisitive members of Parliament. He learned of a case in which a high-quality photo had been obtained and then suppressed in the bureaucracy.

Pope nevertheless got the file and had a poster of the UFO photo put on his wall. His point was to show at a glance to skeptics that there was credible evidence of UFOs. One Monday morning though he came into the office and found the poster and the entire file missing from his locked office and locked file cabinet.

On investigation, Pope was told by a senior MoD bureaucrat that he lacked the clearance necessary for that UFO photo, file, and entire incident.
