My son was given a terminal diagnosis in 2019. He didn’t want to go so he has been doing experimental treatments, clinical trials and such. He hasn’t been able to live independently for years so he lives with me. I became a nurse/caregiver. He knows he can’t be cured and it will eventually get him but all the research will help others.

My wife has been dealing with two kinds of cancer for years. In remission but that can change quickly.

I don’t really know what kind of fight I would put up. The treatments are miserable and quality of life is diminished.

A friend of mine got cancer and declined all treatments. He lived the way he wanted for 10 years before it got him.

The problem with clinical trials is that they never work. They only provide data for future research. And, often pointless data.

If the trial protocol worked they would be required to offer it as treatment. Its a sad fact but I would never do a “clinical trial” for anything, ever.
