— For 400 years, Shakespeare’s Othello has featured a black Moor played by white actors in burnt cork.
— Comparing Saint Joan to Greta Thunberg... both disturbed, adolescent European girls who think God speaks through them.
I mention this, not to argue, but to point out the best Othello I’ve seen was Laurence Fishburne opposite Kenneth Branagh as Iago.
