Yikes. Daughter and I went to NOLA last month. Glad nothing that weird interrupted our visit.
There was a great green neon sign on a little shop in the French Quarter:

Friday, at our local grocery store (in SE TX) .... bouquets of flowers and King cakes were flying off the shelves!
