That said...we were having a late lunch about an hour ago, and they were doing a segment on the Tkachuk family (American Hockey team players) and their father was a pro player, tough as nails, who gained fame in our circle of fanatical Boston Bruins Hockey Fans for the time he fought the universally despised, and totally chickens**t Claude Lemeiux!) Apparently, Brady Tkachuk was bitten on the finger in a fight by Claude Lemeiux's son. They say it is a family affair between the Tkachuks and Lemieux. I was astonished that Lemeiux had offspring.
Anyway, they had a segment on the boys playing for the American team, and IT WAS AWESOME.
Young men, proud of their country, and saying so. They showed a clip of them when they were little kids maybe six or seven, playing street hockey in the cellar of their house, lined up on the "American side" and singing the National Anthem!
I loved it! Just glorious!
