They have decided Newsom is their man, but that he he needs foreign policy exposure to build some credibility as “world leader.” That’s what this is all about— now Newsom will be able to say, ”I have met with the leaders of the world, and we all agree I’m the best they ever saw, and they will only respect the US again if I’m elected.”
He's incapable of 'fixing' ANY of the problems he's caused and propagated in Ca.
