Ran across this podcast outlining that viewership of the NFL halftime show collapsed 39% compared to last year. This from a ratings source used for advertising (and thus much more reliable as companies use this for real-$$ decisions.)
It's pretty plain that profanity laws were also violated, so we'll see if LEO will give lawlessness a pass or hold them accountable.
So Nielsen lied about only a 7% drop? Protecting their warped agenda, or covering for the NFL / TV Network to protect advertising revenue. Probably both.

Goodell chose, or approved the guy that calls the talent shots. Jay Z, mega powerful black billionaire. He transitioned from a successful rapper to an owner, leveraging his brand into high-value equity stakes in luxury liquor, technology, and entertainment. I doubt he cares much for the music we do and probably delights in sticking it to flyover country.
Turning Point can nevertheless build their alternative halftime show into a reliable money spinner and an entry point into popular entertainment. For example, a combination of AI and holographic technology would permit some stunning combinations, such as old time singers performing ensemble patriotic tunes, even with live singers.

There was talk of Metallica doing cover of Ozzy Osbourne songs as tribute for Super Bowl, but that obviously didn't happen. Would have made more sense though, especially since San Francisco is the band's home.
AC/DC would probably be only a slight improvement over Bad Bunny. Even if meant as tongue-in-cheek, they have some blatantly Satanic lyrics:

From a different angle, the Owners gave Goodell enough rope to hang himself. He had accumulated too much power, usurping the individual team owners who actually have skin in the game.

Gee, I am really out of it.....but I listen to 40s big band. Those guys are talented and guaranteed no fake auto-tune.
