One moral of the story:
If you’re not sure who the person is, don’t answer the door.
And if you must talk, talk through a window.
Quick story:
I had an elderly relative who for various reasons could not take care of a dog. But she did have a high-quality recording of a barking dog, ready to play if someone knocked on her door.
Better than nothing, I suppose.
If you’re not sure who the person is, don’t answer the door.
And if you must talk, talk through a window.
“If you have to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk.”
I got an automated dog bark that my driveway sensor trips when im not home
That was an All in the Family episode with Cleavon Little and Lamont Sanford IIRC
We have a dog with a very loud high pitched bark. We also have a can of wasp spray and a very loud high pitched buzzer. My gun is next to my bed so I can grab it if I hear the dog bark at night. We do have a window next to the front door. That’s all we can do. Oh, and we live in the country surrounded by people who have guns and practice using them so we feel pretty safe.
Not only is it better than nothing it is a lot more better than nothing. Great idea!
It’s the old story.
People are trained to answer their phone, and trained to answer their door.
There’s no law that says you have to do either one.
