Change isn’t always good. I liked the Chevrolet commercial but the original sung by Dinah Shore was better. They could have even reprised that and it would have been a hit!
Just like the rendition of “God Bless America” by Kate Smith!

I remember my Mom and Dad standing up and crying, when Kate Smith sang that song. When it was over they explained, something most parents do not take the time to do.
Death was all around, friends and relatives commonly got telegrams from the War Department. Instead of arguing, we rallied for OUR COUNTRY.. told to children of the WW 2 heroes incessantly, I am guessing.
We threw it all away for grass and free sex, instead of passing on what being an American meant.
