Lindsey Vonn crashes early in Olympic downhill, taken off the mountain in a helicopter
Not surprised, she should’ve given her spot up after the ACL injury
Ego over country
Hope she finally retires
Especially since Tiger is reportedly shagging Donald Jr’s ex...
Someone explain to me why she was skiing in the first place. If she has a torn ACL, that’s crazy. No pro athlete competes on an injury like that. She shouldn’t even have been walking.
Actually Vonn is not so crazy. She has had a torn ACL a few years ago too. Last weeks tear must have on the low side for seriousness. I figure she was super braced up for her downhill run. So braced up that her ACL knee was 80% immobilized. She needs publicity and fame to keep earning. (Vonn is not a Somalian stealing from the Fed and state governments) I can see her hitting the appearances n speeches circuit and getting well compensated for her bravery on this downhill, with her torn ACL.
Her Olympics tumble brought her super sympathy and super visibility. I wish this anti- Trumper good luck and she should go to the White House with her fellow Olympians. Trump daddy loves her too!
1. She's 41.
2. We don't query the Indian call center staff posing as "Artificial Intelligence" (AI).

November 2025
Many thought President Trump’s final day in the White House in January 2021 would be the end of his political career, but he proved unstoppable when he ran again three years later. Equally unstoppable, American skiing champ Lindsey Vonn is looking to compete in her fifth Winter Olympics in 2026 at an age (41) when most top athletes are looking at retirement. But these two masters of the comeback have yet to meet in person — and that might not change even if Vonn achieves her goal.
Back in 2017, Trump declared that pro athletes should be fired if they refused to stand for the national anthem before games, which prompted a number of championship teams to turn down the traditional invite to the White House. Vonn, who was preparing to qualify for the 2018 Games in PyeongChang at the time, was approached by CNN to see if she would go if asked. Her response was as icy as the snowy mountains she conquers. “Absolutely not,” Vonn said. “I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president. ...I want to represent our country well. I don’t think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.”
The Alpine powerhouse, who took home a bronze medal in South Korea to add to the gold and bronze she won in Vancouver, made good on her promise. Trump did indeed invite all of Team USA to the People’s House, but Vonn declined, along with a number of other athletes. Some claimed scheduling conflicts, while others, including figure skater Adam Rippon, made it clear they had no interest in meeting the divisive commander-in-chief.
Following her Olympic success in 2018, Lindsey Vonn withdrew from competition, and it was assumed she had hung up her skis for good. After all, she was already the first American woman to win gold in downhill racing. Vonn had also sustained multiple injuries in her long career that left her with considerable pain. But a partial knee replacement in 2024 restored both Vonn’s mobility and her competitive spirit, and she hopes to add to her medal count on the Italian slopes in winter 2026.
Fox News recently approached Vonn about the possibility she might get a second invite to the Trump White House. “First of all, I just want to say that every Olympic athlete from Team USA is normally invited... it has nothing to do with if you win a medal or not,” she began. “I’m not going to answer that question because — I’m just not going to answer it. I want to keep my passport.” It was a more diplomatic answer than the one she gave eight years earlier, but her meaning was clear. Donald Trump has a history of meltdowns when faced with dissent, and he tends to lash out at those who dare to oppose him. He disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles from a White House visit in 2018 because they wouldn’t promise all players would salute the flag. Who’s to say the president wouldn’t find a way to keep a star skier from getting to a major competition if she said something that wounded his pride? With just months to go before what will likely be her final Olympics, Vonn isn’t taking any chances.
“There are other examples of downhill skiers performing with torn ACLs. Query AI and you will see several.”
Get super braced up and this can be done. Knee bracing technology is the best it has ever been. Think Lindsey, think metal and super fabrics in her ACL knee brace. Far better that the 40$ hi tech ones on Amazon, for Joe Palooka to wear at his Super Bowl party today.
I’ll bet the first words out of her big mouth was, “I bet he (Trump) is laughing at me again.”
Didn’t she try to convince one the of the Black hockey players to marry her?
i read she caught her pole on the gate - so we’ll have to see what came of the crash.
Yes, she’s 41, and recently won a world downhill race and was considered one of the top 5 downhill racers in the world two weeks ago. And AI is not, typically, a bunch of Indians responding to queries. It’s a real thing, and will be taking over your world in 3, 2, 1, . . .
Recently watched movie Molly’s Game and she was a skier who crashed after the pine boughs they put on the track to help with perspective tripped her up. I think that’s why you see the blue lines. Good movie.
Kardashian on skis.
No sex videos, just nude stills that were “hacked”.
The injury had nothing to do with her losing control when she was thrown backward going over that bump.
What's with all the hate anyway? It seems to be coming from jealous a-holes who have never excelled at anything in their lives, except maybe bitching, let alone competing at the highest level against the best in the world.
And for what's it's worth, going into the olympics, Vonn was the #1 downhill racer in the world, with 400 pts, compared to the second place holder with 256 pts. And on Friday, had the 11th fastest training run despite her injury.
So stop it with your nonsense. You know nothing about this sport.
“Get super braced up and this can be done. “
I think the outcome outweighs the advice. Or maybe that should read outcomes.
After almost 2 full days of Olympics competition, Breezy Johnson’s gold medal in the women’s downhill skiing is still the USA’s only medal. I hope she gets at least a little publicity.
“The injury had nothing to do with her losing control when she was thrown backward going over that bump...”
Plus she hooked her pole on the gate when she went airborne and that pulled her sideways. Bummer.
And yeah - Whatup with all the hate around here? Absolutely nobody posting on this thread (or for that matter on this forum) could even come close to what she has accomplished. If she want’s to take it to the limit I say go for it.
finished in the top three in 5 downhill events
As a post script to my prior post, three of those podium appearances were 1st place,. She currently leads the world in World cup downhill points. So convince me she shouldn't be on the team......
Not too bad for a 41 year old woman racing against "kids" 15 to 20 years younger than her.....
That is just one. As for Vance, he has publicly come out and said that he was wrong about Trump.
Maybe you are right about Tiger Woods. But until I hear a statement from Lindsey Vonn, saying those views were her own and she shouldn’t have injected them into the dialogue, I will not view her any differently.
If I am in search of a role model for young girls, there are plenty of them out there I would pick over Lindsey Vonn.
