Why not use 5’s or 10’s…5m; 10m ;15m or 10m; 20m; 30m; etc…..
6 is divisible by 1, 2 or 3 so maybe it’s so the ransom can be easily and equally split between 2 or 3 people.
Three people involved, 2 mil a piece or two people involved, 3 mil a piece.
