There are no ‘sane libertarians’ when it comes to immigration. The libertarian platform supports free and open borders.

Most of the group at Instapundit, Glenn Reynolds being the founder and main engine consider themselves libertarian, or libertarian leaning.

They don't support that particular platform position you linked, and all of them are pretty favorable towards Trump's immigration and border policies.

My brother (a professional economist with a following) has a huge libertarian streak, and he's a rabid Trump supporting, immigration/border hawk.

It's not an uncommon position. Rand should be as well, but he's just become a grifter.
