It’s sad to say that because when I first heard of Ron Paul it was as a congressman who advocated quitting the UN and kicking them out of the US. I thought this is the greatest congressman I ever heard of.

Actually, from a Constitutional perspective, it's not a matter of "permitting" people to do things. The ninth and tenth amendments are about prohibiting, not permitting. Those amendments prohibit the federal government from doing certain things, "reserving to the states, and the people" the rights not delegated to the federal government.
The paradigm is not that laws "permit" people to do things; the Declaration of Independence's recognition that we "are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is what "permits" us to do things.
The laws enacted by We the People declare what we cannot do, under penalty of law. That doesn't mean that what's left are thinges we are free to do, or wise to do, or we should do. That's why people fall off of cliffs, or drown in the ocean, or are mauled by wild animals.
And that's why people need to use sound judgment when they start campfires, or drive cars, or imbibe intoxicating substances, or carry arms.

Everyone knows .. it’s established law - that concealed permit means nothing if you commit a crime while carrying.
As soon as he resisted arrest - he voided any and all rights in that manner.

I talked about Common Sense, vs what the laws allows you to do.
If a state allows people to bear arms, these people are allowed to bear arms.
If people are allowed to drive a car, they are allowed to drive a car.
As long as you don’t use your gun to kill innocents, no problem

If you bring your car and park it near a manifestation, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll use it to kill people there.
Same for guns. If you bring a gun keeping it safe in its holster, that doesn’t mean you must go out shooting people.
You have a right to bear arms.
You have a right to drive a car.
If we ban the right to bear or keep arms because there are some risks associated with guns... then we must also ban cars in America - because there are indeed risks associated with cars as well.
That deceased idiot didn’t just peacefully attend a protest, he confronted the Feds while armed. This was just a few days after he got into a previous physical altercation which he instigated with the feds. Pretti was an unhinged retard who deserves a Darwin Award. I think that one probably shouldn’t bring a gun to a protest if one plans to tussle with federal agents at that protest. I think Noem is OK gives the crap show she was working with.
None was the governor of SD for 6 yrs. She was also in Congress for 8 yrs. I’d take her record of accomplishment over yours any day.

Nothing Noem says or does would be enough for the haters. She said what she said, based on info she had at the time, which was 15 minutes after the incident. How is it any different than what the media does every frigging day when they report on “breaking news!” stories that turn out to be totally different than initial reports? They rarely admit fault after they spread misinformation far & wide. The double standard some of you hold toward her is ridiculous.
