The mysterious disappearance of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother is being investigated as a crime, authorities said Monday — citing “suspicious” circumstances at the 84-year-old woman’s home.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen around 9:45 p.m. Saturday at her million-dollar residence in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, where officials found a “very concerning” scene, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said at a press conference.
“We know she didn’t just walk out of there. She did not leave on her own,” Nanos said.
She is very limited in her mobility,” he said — explaining the grandma “could not walk 50 yards on her own.
“We believe now, after we process that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime, and we’re asking the community’s help,” Nanos said.
Authorities have been searching for the elderly matriarch since she was reported missing by her family late Sunday morning.

What is weird to me, is that there doesn’t seem to have been at the very least a doorbell cam that could give a view of the front driveway.

Was it disabled or destroyed?

I believe whoever abducted Nancy was already in her home; waiting for her to return from dinner, Saturday night. When they were in the house, they could take her by surprise when she was most vulnerable. Hopefully, they left clues inside the house that would lead investigators to them.
Two cameras that were taken out by the perp, I believe.

I saw Ashleigh on Greta’s show earlier in the evening but she didn’t have that much info.
Then I saw a reporter on Trace Gallagher after 11 pm with more info, but not that much.

Thanks, but I see that Nancy’s husband was Charles Guthrie.
But I see no connection of Charles Guthrie to the Woody Guthrie family line.
Can you expand the connection you stated in a little more detail?
All I see is a coincidence of two unrelated people, with the same last name Guthrie, naming a daughter with the same name . . .

So the “Annie” you are speaking of is not related to Nancy Guthrie. Got it.

Okay, I deduced incorrectly.
As of 6pm EST LEOs are at the sister’s house once again, removing more items. They just brought articles out to the van and went back into the house. Fox’s Jonathan Hunt is on the scene and will keep us updated.
This Annie Guthrie is not Savannah Guthrie’s sister.
