Two Republican candidates are winning the Top Two spots in the latest polls and too many Democratic candidates are running to replace Gavin Newsom.
Normally, Democratic top brass would have forced these egos into a room and made them bow to whoever could generate the best donors and media buzz. This time these Democratic candidates refuse to lose their one shot at THE major seat.
The Democrat EGO and drive for higher office are splitting the 40 percent-plus registration of Democratic voters in the state. The Top Two Republicans can gather enough support to blow past the Democrats and take the Top Two spots.

Voting starts Tuesday May 5th. That’s 4 weeks and this is how it’s done provided there’s a log jam of democrats on the ballot:
On that day(May 5)someone still popular(like Arnold) speaks out and gives republicans their marching orders described above. Will 4 weeks be long enough for the democrats to come together and fix their crowded field? Once again it’s ego. Arnold would then anoint the November winner.

Early voting is 3 months away so something tells me the rats will fix it beforehand like they did with Bernie in ‘16.
On the other hand could this act get more republicans to vote in the primary? We’d have the same 4 weeks to knock on doors to pick up ballots. Republican offices know the address of every republican in their counties.

Exactly! Republicans run on JUSTICE, then once elected betray their base, then lose the midterms BECAUSE OF ZERO JUSTICE!
They want power, position, prestige and pay but SHIRK DUTY! Personally, if still ZERO impeaches judges/politician arrests they'll get NONE OF IT from me in the midterms.

Well...yes, and no. If the Democrats continue to split their loyalties, there is polling indicating the top two vote getters could be the Republican candidates possibly, with very low percentages. Then they would be the only candidates on the ballot going into the general election, so the GOP would be guaranteed to win in that scenario.
Of course - we would have to count on the Left not catching wind of this and then pushing their own candidates to drop out or urging their own voters to consolidate around one candidate to prevent this from occurring.
But if things stayed as they are now, it would be possible. But in a month...things are unlikely to stay as they are now. Only time will tell...

Not if they don't end up having the option...there are so many Democrats running the Dems could get over 70% of the vote and end up without a candidate. Some polls have indicated that.
Still a pipe dream as it is unlikely the Left will allow things to continue like this without making an organized effort to get their voters to consolidate to avoid this situation.

We need Rush at times like this for “operation chaos” type set up.
It would have been even easier if the conservatives just filed as Democrats in this setup, with them appearing on all local and national talk radio shows pushing for the Republicans to turn out in large numbers for them - that, and enough ‘Democrat’ voters just voting for familiar sounds names with Ds beside their name could have locked out leftists from winning. This type of thing could be done statewide to render the “D” label and this farce of a primary system to essentially be a nonpartisan ballot.
But it would be far more amusing if the two top vote getters are the Rs due to split Dem loyalties and their plan to lock out Republicans ends up locking them out.
