I don’t think it’s readily available outside of Florida because spearing them on dives seems to be the most efficient way to catch them for now. They aren’t big either, compared to other game fish, so you might be paying a premium just for the novelty of eating one.

A long time ago, I lived in Florida. Husband jad a really nice boat and enjoyed fishing, so I had plenty of Grouper. Super yum.

My local Safeway has terrific fish. Wild Alaskan salmon is my fave, and they just started with wild Alaskan flounder filets. Well-priced and found in the freezer
