Xi Jinping calls for China’s renminbi to attain global reserve currency status
FT ^ | Jan 26 | Joe Leahy

Latest commentary details ambitions for ‘powerful currency’ to play a greater role in trade and forex.

.....Xi Jinping has called for the renminbi to become a global reserve currency, in some of his clearest comments on his ambitions for China’s currency as Beijing seeks to play a greater role in the international

The publication of Xi’s comments comes amid heightened uncertainty in global markets as a weaker US dollar — which President Donald Trump last week called a “great” development — a change in leadership of the Federal Reserve and geopolitical and trade tensions have prompted central banks to rethink their exposure to dollar assets.

The renminbi has become the world’s second-largest trade finance currency since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, but it plays a limited role in official reserves. As of the third quarter of 2025, the dollar accounted for about 57 per cent of global reserves, down from 71 per cent.

“As forecasted, this is going to get interesting.”

Like when you told me last Thursday to sell everything and buy gold at $120 just hours before it hit $75.

You lost all credibility with that call.

Your podcasts may attempt to rewrite history but it won’t erase the truth.

Best you do what the smart money is doing, sell and buy PM’s….its all about economic cycles. Be sure to get back with us.

"After the West’s PM smack down, the price of the investment gold bar price on China’s largest e-commerce platform JD.com"

I saw a nice flashlight there for only ¥299.

LOL! Delta7 tries to impress by referencing a site that sells clothing, gadgets and other basic household items! These pimps have no shame.

“Laugh it off, but realize China ( not the corrupted US Crimex) is now moving to determining the free market price of Silver.”

Everybody is missing the plays by JPM and other big banks.

“And how does he propose to do that without running massive trade deficits for renminbi to be held by foreigners?”

What Xi might be intending is that loans be denominated in Yuan.

Just making loans means they can mainly be used for purchasing Chinese exports. The USD became a reserve currency because we deliberately gave a bunch of dollars to allies and allowed them to run trade deficits so they could recover after WWII.

Unfortunately it became a habit of the US foreign policy elite to trade unfair access to the US market to gain political support. Johnson did this with consumer electronics in the 60s to gain support from Japan for the Vietnam War. Within a few years, the US consumer electronics industry, which was among the best in the world in the early 60s, was dead as Japan flooded the US market.

Bear in mind that Democratic governors of important states are refusing to help Trump remove criminal invaders.

That tends to make it appear that the USA is run by venal fools.

The Chinese understandably don’t want to issue loans repayable in dollars.

The Chinese might issue the loan in dollars and have the repayment made in yuan (or the dollar equivalent).

Loan $1 million and have the debt repayable as 7 million yuan with annual interest at the Chinese 5-year prime rate (~3.5%) plus a percentage of say 2%.

“As forecasted, “

Your guru posted a podcast video on Friday saying he predicted a crash on the previous Monday. I can fot find that prediction which brings me to two scenarios.

ONE: He is lying which proves the ex-Con scammer (labeled and banned by our mods) is still up to his old tricks.

TWO: He is a genius and is not lying and you knew of upcoming crash but kept pumping silver for several days misleading readers of this site and the various other sites you pimp on.

Love to hear from you on this.

LOL! As we have seen in the past, your powers of deception far exceed your expertise in financial matters.

The above FUTURES delta show a gain but does not show the price.

The futures are priced at $83, two dollars below Friday’s silver price.

That indicates an expectation that silver will decline from now till futures expire.

Interesting site.

What do you think about these gloves. Only ¥29.9.

Should I buy now or wait till after the price crashes 30%?
