The New Federal Farm Bill includes four troubling provisions (Sections 10205, 10206, 10207, and 10211) that will potentially be harmful to people’s health and to ensuring pesticide safety.
Urgent action is needed to remove these dangerous provisions that favor pesticide industry interests by limiting public health protections.
The Farm Bill as written will:
Take away states’ rights to regulate dangerous toxins — Sections 10205 & 10206 impose national uniformity on labeling and bar local governments from any pesticide rules. This strips states and communities of their right to add stricter warnings or restrictions based on local health risks (e.g., cancer links to glyphosate).
Create a liability shield for pesticide manufacturers — Section 10205 preempts state “failure-to-warn” lawsuits if companies follow EPA labels. This protects domestic and foreign producers from accountability in U.S. courts, reducing incentives for safer products.
Delay overdue toxicity reviews — While Section 10211 improves data collection, the package overall reduces pressure on EPA to speed up backlogged safety reviews. Section 10207 overrides other laws, potentially weakening environmental oversight.

One More Mamdani Staffer Calls for Killing All Israelis
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has been keeping on veteran staffers, and hiring new ones, who share his deep hatred of Israel. The latest example is Achmat Akkad, a “Mental Health First Aid Trainer,” who Mamdani is retaining, and assigning to a more senior position, despite the revelation of a series of social media posts by Akkad calling for the murder of all Israelis.
A veteran staffer of the New York City Health Department called for the eradication of all Israelis among a series of newly surfaced antisemitic social media posts, raising concerns about the safety of Jewish New Yorkers at a time of unease for the community with Mayor Zohran Mamdani in office.
The watchdog group Canary Mission on Sunday exposed screenshots of the since-deleted social media posts by Achmat Akkad, who according to his LinkedIn account is a “Mental Health First Aid Trainer” with the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and, since 2017, has reportedly worked there as a community coordinator.

Sharia in action in Afghanistan: Taliban burn hundreds of musical instruments
The leftists who are stoutly defending Sharia these days against Randy Fine and Chip Roy have no idea what they’re dealing with.
Taliban have burned around 600 musical instruments in Parwan and Laghman provinces in the latest enforcement of their sweeping ban on music.
The Taliban directorate vice and virtue in Parwan said it had set fire to about 500 instruments that had been collected over the past year from the provincial capital and surrounding districts.
At the same time, the Taliban directorate in Laghman province in the east said more than 100 instruments had also been burned there.
The Taliban morality enforcers in Parwan said the confiscated items included harmoniums, tablas, tambourines, frame drums, loudspeakers and other audio equipment. He said hundreds of instruments had previously been burned in the province.
Since returning to power in August 2021, the Taliban have prohibited the production and public playing of music, declaring it forbidden under their interpretation of Islamic law.

We are so used to the UN linking the charge of “genocide” to the state of Israel, that it comes as a welcome shock to have the UN now issuing a report on the “genocide” that Arabs are committing against black Africans in Sudan. Mass killings of non‑Arab communities when the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group captured the Sudanese city of al‑Fashir bear hallmarks that point to genocide, an independent UN probe said in a new report on Thursday.
At the end of October last year, the RSF took over the city, which had been the last remaining stronghold of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in the Darfur region in the west of the country, with thousands of people killed and raped during three days of horror, the UN Independent International Fact-Finding Mission for Sudan said.
It followed an 18-month siege where the RSF imposed conditions of life calculated to bring about the physical destruction of non-Arab communities, in particular the Zaghawa and the Fur, the report stated.
The UN mission said it found evidence that the RSF carried out a pattern of coordinated and repeated targeting of individuals based on ethnicity, gender, and perceived political affiliation, including mass killings, rape and torture, as well as inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the group’s physical destruction, core elements of the crime of genocide under international law.

I’m jealous.
I told my story before, but here it is again.
I was 16, lived in very rural northern Verment with my older sister and husband, an old farm house with outbuildings and large acreage.
One summer evening I went outside just to look at the sky, I stood next to an old pasture with wood fence.
I saw a large, disc shaped aircraft (typical “flying saucer”) appear and hover about 40 feet from the ground. Just appeared, not a sound. It hovered, spinning slowly, with various colored lights slowly blinking. I was stunned, just watching. Then in an instant it zoomed away, so fast it, it just disappeared.
I slept in small room on the second story. In the middle of the night I jerked awake for no reason, and felt I had to look out the window. In one of the outbuildings (no electricity) a door was open, very bright light, with a tall man standing in the doorway. Dressed in white. I saw him, and then all went dark.
I sort of figured he might have been connected with the craft.
