"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.

When I was a little kid before I could read,I could spot a car and tell the make and be right most of the time. Grown ups figured I was a good guesser, but my older cousin taught me how. ha ha.

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller. Bayer, which acquired Monsanto in June 2018, is facing tens of thousands of lawsuits from people alleging Roundup caused them to develop cancer.
Trump’s order also grants legal immunity to domestic manufacturers of products containing glyphosate when manufacturers are ordered, under the Defense Production Act of 1950, to produce the products.
The Defense Production Act is used in national emergencies to compel the production of materials or supplies necessary for national security.
Bayer is the only company producing glyphosate in the U.S. However, U.S. farmers also import the chemical from China, Reuters reported.
President Donald Trump invoked the Defense Production Act of 1950 to expand domestic production of glyphosate, the controversial weedkiller at the center of more than 60,000 cancer lawsuits against Bayer. The move sparked outrage from MAHA activists and health advocates who said it puts corporate interests ahead of public health.

The New Hampshire House of Representatives rejected a proposal Thursday to end all vaccine mandates in the state. “New Hampshire has the lowest vaccination rate for measles in New England,” Rep. Jessica LaMontagne, a Dover Democrat, said in a floor speech before the vote. “Do you want to be the legislature that ushers in the next outbreak of measles?”
Lawmakers voted, 192-155, to kill House Bill 1811, which was sponsored by Manchester Republican Rep. Matt Drew. Thirty-four Republicans joined Democrats to oppose the bill. In an effort to reach a compromise, Drew proposed an amendment that would keep only the polio vaccine required. However, the House rejected that amendment, and voted just on the original text.
New Hampshire state law requires children be immunized against hepatitis B, poliomyelitis (commonly known as polio), diphtheria, mumps, pertussis, rubella, rubeola, tetanus, varicella, and haemophilus influenzae type B. Children cannot legally enroll in school or child care until they’re vaccinated. The law grants exemptions to children whose doctor attests that such a vaccine would be detrimental to their health, as well as families with religious objections.

Readers may recall the Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans cases in the U.K., in which National Health Service hospitals took the parents of terminally ill children to court after they refused to acquiesce in doctors’ recommendations that life support be ended.
In both cases, the court ruled in the hospital’s favor in determining both that life support could be ended and preventing the parents from transferring care of their children to medical facilities willing to provide last-ditch treatments that the families wanted.
Now, a Trust hospital hasn’t even bothered going to court. Instead, doctors have unilaterally withdrawn kidney dialysis over family objections from Robert Barnor, who was profoundly disabled by a stroke, stating that letting the man die is merely a “clinical” decision. From the Telegraph story:

Legislation advancing in the Alaska Legislature would expand pharmacists’ authority to prescribe and administer dangerous drugs, including chemical abortion pills that end the lives of unborn children.
The bill is drawing strong opposition from the Alaska Medical Board and pro-life advocates who warn it could dramatically increase abortions across the state.
House Bill 195 (HB 195) and its companion Senate Bill 147 (SB 147) aim to allow pharmacists to prescribe or administer drugs or devices for chronic disease management, minor ailments, and other issues.
The Alaska Medical Board issued a statement opposing both bills, warning they would “effectively expand the prescriptive authority of pharmacists to prescribe and administer any medications, including controlled substances and abortion medications.”
