Florida nurse gives up license after saying he won’t perform anesthesia on MAGA patients
A Florida nurse who said he would not “perform anesthesia” for “MAGA” patients has relinquished his license.
“Effective today, Erik Martindale is no longer a registered nurse in Florida,” Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier wrote in an X post Thursday.
“Healthcare is not contingent on political beliefs, and we have zero tolerance for partisans who put politics above their ethical duty to treat patients with the respect and dignity they deserve,” he added.
In a since-deleted post on social media, Martindale said, “I will not perform anesthesia for any surgeries or procedures for MAGA. It is my right, it is my ethical oath, and I stand behind my education. I own all of my businesses and I can refuse anyone!”
Martindale later said that his Facebook account was hacked.
A high-ranking state official familiar with the situation confirmed that Martindale relinquished his license, adding he broke the compact agreement by moving out of state to Indiana without notifying the Florida Board of Nursing.
The portal bearing Martindale’s license number and license verification on the Florida Department of Health’s website says he voluntarily relinquished his license in the “license status” field.

Exactly. How about the nurse a few days ago talking about poisoning ICE agents? Why wasn’t she arrested? Imagine someone like that setting up an IV drip for an ICE agent or Trump supporter.
A good idea is to ask before any surgery who will be administering the anesthesia.
If he ever needs an EMT or Cop to save his worthless life he better hope they are not MAGA.
The nurse should be fired, but his license should not be revoked — any more than doctors refusing to perform abortions should have THEIR licenses revoked.
So, Eric, will you be experimenting with blue dye in the eys of brown eyed people? And no anesthesia? I fully expect him to renew his license at a later date to continue his rage. Just don’t know where.
Don’t feel bad for him ... he will probably be able to get a jib administering euthanasia drugs to patients in a mortuary.
He may not have a choice wonder how many times he’s been wrote up for poor performance?.
I underwent open heart surgery in summer 1969 at age 14. I vividly recall the night nurses in the cardiac ICU as being very hot. Of course to a budding high school boy just feeling his testosterone most women looked hot. Young teenage boys will rut with pretty much any female who has a pulse. 🤣🤣🤣
So if he moved to Indiana does he have an Indiana nursing certificate? Has Indiana taken any steps to revoke any credentials issued there?
