Not a nurse or know much about medical licensing, but could she simply take the test in another state and get reinstated? I mean, she has the hours and degrees....but the matter of licensure is unknown to me.

In the financial world, you are regulated by the SEC, FINRA, MSRB, NASD, etc. You lie, you lose your license for a certain period of time and have to pay damages (sometimes treble damages for insider training). As far as I know the only way to lose your FINRA licenses permanently (Series 7, 3, etc) is to cheat on the exam or commit fraud (think Bernie Madoff).
